Diaper Depot

Diapers are distributed free to residents of the Tamaqua Area School District, usually on the third Saturday of the month. Diaper Depot is a community pantry of the Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank.

Participation guidelines

  1. Diapers are distributed by appointment usually on the third Saturday of the month between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Mauch Chunk and Greenwood streets in Tamaqua. 
  1. You must make an appointment to pick up diapers at least at least a week prior to the distribution day. Appointment times will be made after a request for diapers has been received. We must have either a phone number or email address with the request to verify a request and appointment time. Please keep the slip you are given with your next appointment time.
  1. Requests must be made each month. New requests can be made at a diaper pick-up. Having a completed form when you arrive for a pick-up saves time. Download a form here. (link to diaper request form pdf)
  1. At this time we are serving families in the Tamaqua Area School District. You must bring some form of proof of address and photo ID to your first pick up.
  1. At your first diaper pick-up, you must provide birth certificate, Medicaid or other identification for the child receiving diapers.
  1. The child must be between the ages of birth to 4 years.
  1. We do not require proof of income, WIC or SNAP eligibility.
  1. Request for a particular brand of diapers cannot be accommodated.
  1. You are allowed to get diapers once a month for each child in your care and custody. A separate request must be filed for each child.
  1. Depending on availability, each package of diapers will consist of the following: Newborn, Size 1, Size 2, Size 3, Size 4, Size 5, Size 6 – 50 diapers per child when available. Size 2T-3T pullups and 3T-4T pullups – 30 diapers when available (girl or boy).
  1. Each family diaper request will come with 1 pack of wipes, when available.
  1. If you need to have someone else pick up your diapers, you must provide a note that gives that person permission. The note must be dated and signed by you, the client.
  1. We require 48 hours advanced notice of need to reschedule/cancel an appointment or change a diaper size. Contact gtay200@aol.com to make a change.
  1. Requests will not be accepted from families that consistently fail to pick up their diapers at the appropriate time.

Please complete the form below and we’ll contact you to set up an appointment. If you do not hear from us with a verification and appointment time, you must assume we did not get your request. Please check your email frequently.
