Phase 3 of a multi-phase, multi-year project to restore the facade of Zion’s nearly 100-year-old structure is complete.

The restoration work is being done by Degruchy Masonry of Quakertown. Phase 3 has an estimated cost of nearly $500,000. And there’s one more phase to go to complete the façade work. Phase 1 began in 2018.

Construction for Zion’s current home began in 1927 and was completed years later. In fact, the sanctuary was not completed until after World War II. The congregation worshipped in the basement where Saturday services are now held.

Zion is home to several community ministries: the People’s Food Pantry; Diaper Depot (free diapers); and Blessings Thrift Shop. In the past Zion has housed an addiction recovery group and Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and a Cub Scout pack.
